The girl was heading south in a Ford Ranger pickup truck in the exit lane for Exit 10, while a Toyota passenger car was heading south in the right lane around 1:15 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
The Ford entered the right lane and struck the Toyota. As a result of the crash, both vehicles veered off the road to the left and impacted a guardrail.
